ABOUT

Hi,

My name is Louise, I am a qualified Sports Massage Therapist based in Shipley, Heanor

I have experienced a few injuries, some chronic, and know how frustrating it can be to be unable to take part in your favourite sport or class or even be able to do simple functions such as walking down the stairs!

I offer Sport Massage therapy with the aim to help you recover from injuries or soft tissue dysfunction and for those suffering from chronic pain, some relief.

I have also worked as Sports Massage Therapist for Chesterfield Ladies FC  2020-2023, providing weekly massages.  A well prepared muscle is less likely to be injured!

A little bit about what I have been up to

October 2021 - Sports Massage Therapist at Arnold Sports Festival at Birmingham NEC massaging the strongmen, including Worlds Strongest Man 2021, Tom Stoltman.

October 2021, I climbed Mount Toubkal with some good friends, the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains, Morocco at 4,167 metres. What an incredible experience and fantastic country.

In July/August 2022 - Sports Massage Therapist and First Aider for the athletes at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games

In January 2023 I attempted The Winter Fan Dance, fully loaded (35lbs + food & water = 42lbs) a 24km SAS selection test march staged over Pen y Fan, the highest mountain in the Brecon Beacons. The weather was treacherous with ice from the start and I was unable to complete the route cut off by 24 minutes.
In June 2023 I attempted The Summer Fan Dance, masters loadbearing (25lbs + food & water = 32lbs) and completed and won my category Masters Loadbearing - Female
